Tours for Prospects and their Families

We are excited to redesign our tours for the academic year 2022-2023. We welcome prospective students and their families, ASL classes, and other visitors, and have created three separate event types for each of the above groups.

All guided campus tours are offered Monday through Friday four times throughout the day: 9:15 am, 11:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 3:15 pm. Tours begin at the Maguire Welcome Center in the Edward Miner Gallaudet Memorial Building (EMG). Each tour lasts approximately an hour to an hour and a half. Student Ambassadors conduct American Sign Language (ASL) tours, and we will provide voice interpreters for visitors who do not sign.

During these tours, student ambassadors provide general information about Gallaudet and its academic programs, residential and commuter life, and extensive curricular and co-curricular activities. The prospective student looking to learn more about the admissions process will have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor before the tour begins.

    Information Session and Campus Tour

On Mondays from 9-11 am, we offer supplementary Information Sessions in addition to campus tours. The Information Sessions will include experts representing various campus groups: academic departments, the JumpStart: ASL Program, and the Office of Financial Aid.
